Mobility Products and Design (MPD) was founded in 1976 by John Bickford, the Step-Father of Jeff Gordon of NASCAR fame. Crow River Industries purchased the company in the late 80’s when Jeff started his NASCAR career. The Braun Corporation purchased Mobility Products & Design with The Crow River Industries acquisition in 1998. In 2002 The Braun Corporation spun Mobility Products off as a separate entity and was owned by Ralph Braun personally.
In 2010 Veigel North America took over Mobility Products and Design from Ralph Braun.
Veigel North America is a member of the Veigel Group and is working on the American market since 2009.
Since August 2008 Veigel has been member of the selective circle of ISO/TS 16949 certified manufacturers. This standard, created for the automotive industry, requires the highest demands concerning quality, flexibility, documentation and innovation. We are proud of complying these standards.
The fundament of the ISO/TS 16949 is the qualification according to the ISO 9001 which Veigel has already adopted since 1997.
The Veigel production system is in line with the automobile federal office (KBA)
Concerning the security of data Veigel acts in accordance with the ISO 27001 standard.
Through the first environmental audit in mid-2014 Veigel shows proof of complying with the repuirement of ISO 14001.
As we supply equal designs and products to the carmakers, assembly workshops, and end consumers, everybody is taking advantage of the technical progress. We supply true OEM quality to our customers under hand and seal.
With this experience providing a foundation we are working at Veigel North America to implement our system of quality management.
